Today we celebrate nine, that’s right 9, years of wedded bliss. I know it seems trite, but we really do celebrate our marriage almost every weekend when we are working at the weddings of our fabulous couples.
Yes, I still cry during the ceremony, and yes, we do come home feeling sappy, romantic and lovey after every wedding. Think about how you feel after attending a wedding and watching two people in love commit their lives to each other. Yep…we love our job!
My favorite picture ever taken of Justin and I. From our engagement session with Mike and Allie, our friends and fellow photographers who brought us into Candids by Allie so we could have a career we can’t imagine life without.

Yep, that’s right, stop by your local store or news stand to grab a copy of Studio Duva’s debut as cover photographer for San Diego Style Weddings magazine! Last year Tricia landed a Quick Guide cover, but that was just a prelude to Justin’s full magazine cover image and 5-page fashion spread inside the magazine. OK, quite a few of the spread photos were Tricia’s, but Justin was definitely the winner in our ongoing competition!
And the best part…that at the magazine launch party, this cover was voted the Vendor’s Favorite.

Long Time No Blog…
We’ve been a little busy around here at Studio Duva since November of last year. Our newest little bundle decided to join the world on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. Since this was our second time bringing a new photographer into the world, we kept our shooting schedule light, but never stopped completely. So, now that the Little Miss is three months old and we are all rested after the holiday rush, we’re starting the New Year off with promises to fill up our blog with all of last year’s pretty pictures for your viewing enjoyment.
Welcome Evalena Patricia Duva!

A little slideshow of the brand new baby moments below. Unfortunately, with the Swine Flu epidemic, our little Jackson wasn’t able to visit us at the hospital. So, the first time he met his baby sister was in front of Scripps Memorial Hospital when we checked out. I wish I had taken the name of the valet volunteer who was so sweet to take over our camera and take a few images of our first moments as a family of four. It was such a sweet moment that not only were we crying, but everyone outside of the hospital was tearing up too!
